If you’ve lost a loved one and would like a personal and intimate space to hold a wake, the National Railway Museum is an ideal funeral reception venue in which to celebrate their life.
The Mallard Suite and Rocket Room are bright, light spaces with views of Great Hall, where many of the museum’s famous locomotives are on show. The spaces can be used individually for an intimate reception or combined for a larger gathering.
To make planning your reception as easy as possible, we have put together two simple packages:
- The Traditional Tea, including sweet and savoury light bites and a selection of hot drinks
- The Cream Tea, including a selection of finger sandwiches, sweet pastries and hot drinks
The use of a screen and projector to share family photos throughout the reception is included in both packages, as is free car parking for all guests. Guests will also have access to the museum and use of our play area for children under five.
